Job summary

UCLA is seeking a Parking Operations and Enforcement Supervisor to lead staff, coordinate 24/7 parking activities, and supervise campus events and maintenance for parking assets.

Responsibilities include frontline customer service, adherence to service levels, staff development, and emergency response during and after hours. Must meet qualifications and licensing requirements, with a focus on operational excellence and safety.

Qualifications

• 1. Ability to analyze staffing needs to effectively cover a 24 hour operation, taking into account daily changes in priority. Skill in recruiting, training, interviewing, evaluating job performance, creatively recognizing and rewarding excellent performance, and identifying and implementing disciplinary actions as needed. (Required)
• 2. Ability to work any shift throughout a 24-hour period as mandated by management. (Required)
• 3. Ability to hear and understand ordinary dispatch communications received over a 2-way radio and to use appropriate radio language. (Required)
• 4. Ability to work outside year round in inclement and clement weather, using established foul weather gear provided by the department. (Required)
• 5. Ability to handle highly confidential matters with tact and diplomacy and to maintain confidentiality of information as needed to protect the rights of individuals or the University. (Required)
• 6. Demonstrated skills in directing groups of people, delegating work, supervising and providing a work environment conducive to the motivation of subordinates, and service provision to customers. (Required)
• 7. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills to explain policies and procedures to personnel and customers. (Required)
• 8. Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public. (Required)
