Job summary

California State University, East Bay is seeking a Parking Coordinator to manage day-to-day parking operations, oversee student staff, and coordinate permits, citations, and event parking across the East Bay campus.

Under supervision, you will ensure compliance with CSU policy, handle customer service for faculty, staff, students, and visitors, and contribute to budget and operational planning for Parking & Transportation Services.

Qualifications

• A fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices.
• Ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures.
• Thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic.
• Ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages.
• Usually obtained through a high school program, technical/vocational program, or equivalents with several years of related office work experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily parking operations, inquiries, permits, citations, billing, and reconciliations.
• Oversee permit issuance and reconciliation across online and retail channels.
• Administer citation processing, reviews, hearings, and collections per CSU policy and California Vehicle Code.
• Coordinate event and departmental parking, ensuring signage, staffing, and policy compliance.
• Maintain parking technology and equipment; coordinate repairs and vendor communication.
