The coordinator also provides backup coverage for dispatch as needed, requiring flexibility and strong attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in organization, business administration, public administration, or a related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of administrative or office support experience. Experience in a customer service or public-facing role is required. Driving and Compliance: Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record. Ability to pass University background check and any required pre-employment screenings.

Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with students, faculty, staff, visitors, mechanics, and external vendors. Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, particularly in handling parking disputes, appeals, and inquiries. Organizational & Administrative Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities such as permits, event logistics, fleet scheduling, and DMV deadlines. Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records, databases, and compliance documentation. Ability to plan and coordinate logistics for campus events and transportation needs. Technical & Analytical Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and the ability to learn parking/fleet management systems. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fleet scheduling, and mechanical service coordination. Ability to interpret and apply university, regional, and state transportation/parking regulations. Operational & Safety Knowledge of parking enforcement practices and the ability to monitor compliance fairly and consistently. Familiarity with driver authorization processes, DMV requirements, and insurance compliance. Ability to provide backup dispatch support, including multitasking and effective communication under pressure.
