Job summary

The City of St. Pete Beach is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to patrol designated areas, issue citations, and ensure pay stations are maintained. The role emphasizes public service, record-keeping, and compliance with departmental SOPs, reporting to the Code Enforcement Manager.

Shifts are Friday–Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with weekend availability required. This position offers ongoing documentation, customer assistance, and proactive maintenance of payment devices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Preferred: municipal parking enforcement, law enforcement support, or customer service experience.
• Familiarity with handheld citation equipment and pay station technology is preferred.
• Willingness to work Wednesday–Sunday, 11:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. (weekends mandatory).

Responsibilities
