Job summary

City of Columbia SC is seeking an Event Parking Attendant to enforce campus parking ordinances and assist with event operations at designated facilities. You will provide frontline customer service, process payments, and direct traffic to optimize parking availability.

The role requires walking and standing for extended periods, ability to work in various weather conditions, and a valid SC Class D license. Experience in parking or customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some relevant prior experience.
• Valid South Carolina Class “D” Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Enforces parking ordinances and regulations on assigned routes and schedules.
• Issues parking citations and provides court testimony as required.
• Processes payments for event parking charges (cash or credit card).
• Directs vehicles to available spaces and maximizes capacity.
• Maintains records and reports; performs clerical tasks.
• Responds to inquiries and handles complaints with courtesy.
• Performs general duties during events and non-event periods.
