Tampa Hispanic Heritage, Inc. seeks a dedicated supervisor to lead parking operations and administrative staff in a municipal setting. You will direct staff, validate meter rentals and citation workflows, and ensure accurate revenue and accounting procedures while maintaining high-quality public service.
The role requires strong supervisory skills, attention to details, and the ability to apply rules and codes; shifting schedules may include nights, weekends, or overtime to support emergencies.
Salary $32.51 - $48.65/hour; $5,635.07 - $8,432.67/month; $67,620.80 - $101,192.00/year
This is responsible supervisory work in support of parking operations.
Employees in this class are responsible for supervising or independently performing a variety of complex office and specialized parking administrative assignments of considerable difficulty. Incumbents serve as the principal departmental administrative coordinator and office supervisor. Under direction, employees exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment and work effectively with the public, municipal officials, and others. Employees must also apply specialized and/or technical knowledge and experience factors in the interpretation and completion of assignments in accordance with municipal and departmental rules, regulations, procedures, and ordinances. Work is reviewed through conferences, observation, reports submitted, and results obtained.
Supervises and directs staff monitors and coordinates the validation of meter rentals, citation appeals and quality assurance. Plans, assigns, and coordinates performance evaluations, provides training and coaching and identifies opportunities for employee development and growth. Oversee all financial transactions with all forms of payment(s) and all forms of accounting and bookkeeping measures. Addresses disciplinary and performance concerns. The following areas are not exhaustive of all duties and responsibilities but are examples of duties assigned: Revenue Reconciliation: Monitors, investigates and reviews all financial transactions and revenue sources, make corrective action if needed Financial Account management: Coordinates all account payable transactions to ensure accuracy Transaction Validation: Conducts supervisor review for all checks and balances, audits of all financial transactions, identify and address areas of improvement for all financial controls Citation & Dispute Analysis: manages complex and sensitive customer service matters involving all financial transactions Customer Experience Operations: Oversees the front-line teams activities related to customer service provided by phone, email, electronic requests, and in person; assists with complex or escalated matters and promotes accurate, timely, and professional service delivery. Establishes expectations for professionalism, accuracy, responsiveness, consistency, and effective resolution of customer concerns.Prepares reports and correspondence; assigns, develops, and evaluates staff; manages unit budget and work processes.Performs related work as required.
Considerable knowledge of: business English and mathematics; rules, regulations, procedures, and functions of the department to which assigned, in addition to appropriate municipal, state, and federal codes, ordinances, resolutions, and regulations; standard office practices, procedures, and equipment.Working knowledge of: municipal organization, programs, and policy; financial and/or budgetary principles, practices, and procedures; data processing coding procedures and practices; effective supervisory techniques; operation of personal computers and related software.Ability to: follow complex instructions, assimilate information, interpret written and numerical data, and arrive at decisions independently in accordance with established rules and regulations; locate, organize, and analyze data from files and other records; prepare and edit clear and concise written reports and publications, as well as compose, edit, and correct correspondence and reports for final production; plan, assign, direct, supervise, and review the work of subordinate personnel; establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, municipal officials, and the general public.Skills in: typing, operating personal computers; operation and minor maintenance of office machinery and equipment.
Mostly sedentary, indoors, requires extended use ofcomputer, typing and viewing a monitor.
Graduation from an accredited high school, business college or courses in business administration or a related field preferred, and five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience, with one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Possession of a valid driver’s license required.

Employeesmay be required to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays,and overtime as needed. During periods when the Mayor issues an emergencydeclaration for the City of Tampa, all employees may be required to work inpreparation, response or recovery activities related to the stated emergency.
