Job summary

Yellowstone Forever is seeking a Park Store Lead Associate to oversee daily front-line operations in the Greater Yellowstone Park area. You will greet and engage visitors, share knowledge of our retail products, courses, and philanthropy programs, and lead a team to deliver exceptional visitor experiences.

The role requires strong customer service, product knowledge, and the ability to work a flexible schedule through spring to autumn.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of active customer engagement in retail or service environment preferred.
• High school graduation or GED.
• Proficiency in using computers and internet applications.
• Experience in customer interaction with educational products or course offerings.
• Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and apply new systems, processes, and applications.
• Experience providing excellent customer service.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift boxes/equipment up to 40 pounds with assistance.
• Required valid US driver’s license and favorable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers and be a Yellowstone Forever ambassador for retail products and programs.
• Lead by example with highest level of customer engagement and knowledge.
• Ensure stores meet the highest standards of customer engagement and positive representation.
• Set standards for Park Store Associates and foster a collaborative environment.
• Mentor Park Store Manager coverage when needed.
• Be a POS systems expert for register, software sales, and payments.
• Deliver a superior customer experience and communicate program changes to staff.
• Promote the Yellowstone Forever Supporter and Institute programs.
• Travel to the Greater Yellowstone area as required.
