Job summary

The City and County of Honolulu's Department of Parks and Recreation seeks an Automatic Sprinkler System Repairer to install, repair, and maintain sprinkler systems across the city’s parks and playgrounds. Under supervision, you will inspect, test, and service components, troubleshoot electrical control wiring, and prepare cost reports while ensuring code compliance.

Must have knowledge of sprinkler systems, experience with electrical components, and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Repairs, installs and maintains sprinkler systems in the department’s parks and playgrounds, including installation of new automatic and manual sprinkler systems.
Performs inspections, cleaning, testing, and servicing of system components to ensure proper operation.
Checks clock motors, remote control valves, and electrical current to controllers to ensure proper operation and replaces as required.
Troubleshoots systems, including control box and wiring.
Reviews work orders and prepares work reports. Keeps and reports cost of projects, records repair costs, checks for conformity and adherence to standards, building codes and regulations.
