Adventureland Park in Altoona, IA, is hiring a Security Agent to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for guests and hosts. You will enforce park rules, monitor assets, conduct bag checks, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with other departments while staying calm under pressure.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of security

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1+ year of security or related experience highly desired.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old with reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enforce all Park rules and regulations.
• Monitor Park assets to ensure guest and host safety.
• Maintain vigilance while the park operates and report issues promptly.
• Conduct bag checks to prevent prohibited items.
• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
• Monitor guest safety and report conflicts to supervisors on duty.
• Take control of emergency and tense situations calmly.
• Manage crowd control during emergencies.
• Communicate clearly with park departments.
• Answer phone calls with pleasant and helpful contact.
• Assist in safety prevention, respond to alarms and emergencies.
• Operate access control, CCTV and other monitoring systems.
