Job summary

The Area Manager of Safety at Six Flags St. Louis leads safety and first aid operations, emergency response, training, and incident management while overseeing security and loss prevention. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of safety management, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a St. Louis County Security License; MO EMT license preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Age: 21
• 2+ years of safety management experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to obtain St. Louis County Security License
• MO EMT License preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Capable of working all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Professional, self-motivated, multi-tasking with positive attitude
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work with others

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and first aid operations, emergency response, training, and incident management.
• Oversee security and loss prevention activities while prioritizing guest and employee safety.
• Conduct accident investigations and inspect for hazards and risks.
• Coordinate with local, county, state, and federal agencies on emergency procedures.
• Develop and deliver leadership safety training and emergency simulations.
• Manage staffing, recruitment, scheduling, and training program development.
• Maintain compliance with Safety Compliance Manual and related standards.
• Manage budgets and ensure department operates within approved spending.
