State of Oklahoma is hiring a Law Enforcement Park Ranger for Lake Murray State Park. The role involves patrolling park grounds, enforcing laws, and protecting visitors and staff.

You will handle investigations, issue warnings, citations, and may make arrests as needed. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CLEET certification, a valid Oklahoma driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks and medical testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age at hire.
• Possess Peace Officer CLEET certification or out-of-state equivalent.
• Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
• Maintain sound physical and psychological condition per screening.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and polygraph.
• Pass retirement system physical and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas within a state park/resort to provide security and protection.
• Assist visitors and enforce laws, rules, and regulations including traffic rules.
• Conduct investigations, issue warnings/citations, make arrests, and document reports.
• Represent the agency in court and provide testimony as required.
• Provide security for staff, property, and natural resources; administer first aid when needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
