Job summary

Prince William County Government seeks a Park Ranger to patrol 81 parks and facilities, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for visitors. You will engage with the public, deliver excellent customer service, and document activities through written reports.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of experience working with the public. A valid driver's license, background checks, and IPMBA bike training are preferred; evening/weekend shifts are possible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. and 1 year of experience in educating, directing, and dealing with the public in a professional manner.
• Experience in educating, directing, and dealing with the Public in a professional manner.
• Must pass a DPR-conducted DMV records check and background check; 18+ years requirement.

Responsibilities

• Protect park resources and enhance the visitor experience by patrolling PWC Parks and Facilities.
• Address safety concerns and coordinate with the Police Department for criminal matters; provide outstanding customer service.
• Communicate thoughts in official written reports to substantiate enforcement actions.
