Job summary

The City of Tukwila is seeking a Park Ranger to engage with the public at Tukwila parks, trails and recreation facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming experience during city activities. Under the direction of the Parks Director, you will address park code violations through voluntary compliance, document incidents, and coordinate with emergency services and law enforcement when needed.

Strong communication and customer-service skills are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of park and recreation business best practices.
• Familiarity with parks, trails, facilities, equipment, and maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, codes, regulations, and ordinances.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and de-escalate tense situations.
