Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a permanent, full-time Park Ranger 2 for the State Capitol Management Unit near Salem. You will independently plan and carry out complex park operations, maintenance, facility management, resource conservation, and interpretive tasks to protect and enhance state park lands and resources.
Requirements include several levels of education and experience in visitor services or maintenance, with a driver’s license required.

Your New Role As a permanent, full-time Park Ranger 2, you will independently plan and carry out complex park operations, maintenance, facility management, resource conservation, and interpretive tasks. You will perform these duties personally or by directing others to protect, maintain, operate, repair, and enhance state park lands, natural and cultural resources, structures, facilities, equipment, and systems within the State Capitol Management Unit.

Special Requirements: To be hired, a criminal record and driving record check must be completed that meets OPRD Criteria at the time of hire, and throughout employment while also maintaining a valid driver’s license. This position is required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
