Job summary

The City of Chino Hills is seeking a Maintenance Assistant Worker to join our Public Works team. This part-time, non-benefited position offering up to 29 hours per week supports the City’s parks and landscape maintenance efforts.

Under supervision you will perform general maintenance, operate small tools and equipment, assist with events, and help keep parks and public spaces clean and safe. Weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing ability sufficient for job performance.
• Knowledge of general maintenance duties and safe tool use.
• Ability to follow safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Open/close City parks and maintain facilities as assigned.
• Assist with event setup/breakdown and trash removal.
• Operate small equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Maintain basic records and logs of work performed.
