Job summary

Orange County Government is seeking staff for Barnett Recreation Center in Orlando to support park facilities, programming, and community recreation activities. You will help keep sites clean, manage check-ins, and assist with events across multiple parks.

The role requires a valid Florida driver's license, basic CPR/First Aid within 12 months, and a willingness to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends. On-site position with no remote work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months recreation programming experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's license.
• CPR and First Aid Certification must be obtained within 12 months from hire date.
• May be required to possess Aquatic License and CPPO certification.

Responsibilities

• Keep facilities clean and free of debris, including restrooms; perform custodial duties.
• Open, close, and secure park sites and facilities.
• Assist park patrons of all ages; maintain safety and accessibility.
• Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance for multiple parks.
• Plan or assist in special event programming.
• Conduct inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Manage revenue collection and program registrations; prepare reports.
• Complete staff evaluations and related duties as assigned.
