Job summary
The Winnetka Park District invites applications for a Park Planner to lead master plan execution, oversee capital project timelines, and coordinate site planning. The role integrates community input, sustainability goals, and regulatory requirements including ADA planning and land use analysis.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years in parks/maintenance with CAD and GIS proficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
- At least 3 years of progressively responsible parks/maintenance experience.
- Experience overseeing construction and capital improvement projects.
- Strong presentation and communication skills required.
- Working knowledge of CAD-based programming, Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of master plan priorities and oversee capital project timelines.
- Coordinate site planning and design initiatives with community input and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain park data, maps, plat-of-survey records, and renovation records.
- Assist Director with capital projects and Parks Department budget process.
