Job summary

State of Oklahoma seeks an Assistant Park Manager for Quartz Mountain to oversee park operations, safety, and visitor services. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and foster partnerships to promote the park’s mission.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with strong knowledge of park operations, marketing, and public relations. Oklahoma driver’s license preferred for field duties and irregular hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, park administration or management, criminal justice, natural resources or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of park management/operations for up to 90 semester hours of education.
• Knowledge of park management principles, budgeting, public relations, contracts and safety.
• Ability to supervise staff, maintain records and report on operations.

Responsibilities

• Assures a safe, well-maintained park facility with trained staff.
• Keeps within budget constraints and maintains fiscal control.
• Provides park visitor services and promotes local partnerships and marketing.
• Manages natural resources protection and visitor programming within park operations.
