Job summary

U.S. Department of the Interior - George Washington Memorial Parkway seeks a Park Manager to lead operations across a 7,156-acre parkway network extending through VA, MD, and DC.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
• Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Direct Deposit participation required.
• Pre-employment and random drug testing is required.
• Uniform standards apply and a uniform allowance will be provided.
• Completion of training and maintaining a government travel/purchase card is required.
• A financial disclosure report will be required within 30 days of appointment.
• Probationary period may be required to evaluate fitness for the position.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, and direct park operations at GWMP.
• Provide advisory, coordination, and review functions for annual goals, objectives, and budgets.
• Develop and review operating programs balancing public interest with policy, resources, and facilities.
• Represent the Superintendent and NPS to federal/state agencies, local governments, and groups.
• Direct supervision and integration of Facility Maintenance, Visitor Services, Resource Management, and Safety divisions.
