Responsibilities

• Assists with planning, directing, organizing, and developing program controls.
• Assists in formulating and executing comprehensive programs and plans.
• Manages quality and timeliness of program performance, productivity, and management controls.
• Participates in training and policy development and enforcement of laws and regulations related to a drug-free workplace.
• Identifies and corrects job safety and health hazards.
• Identifies basic operating needs and prepares funding justifications to support requests for project funds, and operating increases.
• Communicates with staffs of Members of Congress, appropriate federal, state, regional and local officials, public and private organizations, news media, and the general public.
• Participates in community meetings.
• Manages and directs internal and external communication programs.
