Job summary

The Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry is seeking a Park Manager II to supervise operations at Aroostook State Park in Presque Isle and provide oversight for adjacent park sites. This permanent full-time role oversees daily park operations, staff, and community relations.

Housing is provided on-site. A candidate with an associate degree in recreation management and supervisory park experience is preferred, with a strong focus on emergency management and program interpretation.

Qualifications

• Associates' Degree in Recreation Management or related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience in park operations or a related activity; supervisory experience favored.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operations and maintenance of Aroostook State Park in Presque Isle.
• Provide management support for Nickerson Lake State Park, Fort Kent State Historic Site and Haystack Mountain.
• Develop community relations, interpret and promote the park, and perform administrative duties.
• Supervise staff training and oversee six park positions and volunteers.
