The State of Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry, Bureau of Parks and Lands, seeks a Park Manager II for Aroostook State Park in Presque Isle. You will oversee park operations, maintenance, staffing, and community relations while coordinating with Nickerson Lake State Park, Fort Kent sites, and Haystack Mountain.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Recreation Management or related field and at least one year of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Associates’ Degree in Recreation Management or related field is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in park operations or a related activity, with supervisory or managerial experience.
• Directly related experience can substitute education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsabilités

• Manage park operations and supervise six park positions and volunteers.
• Develop and maintain community relations for the park.
• Oversee maintenance, safety, and emergency planning.
• Supervise staff training and personnel management.
• Coordinate management needs across multiple sites in the region.
