Job summary

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is seeking a Natural Resources Technician 3 for the Paint Creek State Park facility in Highland County. You will work outdoors in some of Ohio’s beautiful parks, assist park visitors, and lead soil and equipment projects while maintaining facilities and vehicles.

Responsibilities include daily interactions with park users and ensuring safety and quality standards. The role requires a valid driver’s license and relevant hands-on maintenance experience,

Qualifications

12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in safety practices.
12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in use of shop, hand & power tools & light equipment.
12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in carpentry, electrical repair & plumbing.
12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in equipment operation, maintenance & repair (e.g., tractors with attachments)
Valid driver’s license; valid commercial driver’s license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by Sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio Revised Code.

Responsibilities

Work outside in Ohio’s parks.
Provide customer service to park visitors and ensure safety.
Lead work for excavation and equipment projects.
Maintain campground facilities, grounds and equipment.
Interact daily with park and watercraft users.
