Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Leisure Services, Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field.
• Progressive professional experience may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.
• CPR/AED certification required within 6 months of hire (training assistance available).
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience overseeing programming and large community events.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate recreation programs, events, and facilities.
• Oversee daily park operations, staffing, safety, and customer service during all hours.
• Coordinate major division events with internal departments, safety agencies, vendors, sponsors, and community partners.
• Develop post-event surveys, analyze results, and implement improvements.
• Maintain facilities to ensure safety, accessibility, and cleanliness; address maintenance needs with facilities teams.
