Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 to service Laurel Hill State Park and surrounding facilities. The role involves carpentry, electrical, masonry, and equipment repair to keep park infrastructure safe and comfortable for visitors.

The position covers multiple parks in the Laurel Hill Complex, with duties spanning building repair, utility work, equipment operation, automotive service, tool management, and troubleshooting using blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as Maintenance Repairman 1 or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work covering at least two trades
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Repair park buildings, install windows and doors, perform carpentry and maintain historic structures.
• Perform electrical and plumbing tasks in park buildings, campgrounds, and overnight facilities.
• Assist with operating backhoes, skid steers, dump trucks, snowplows and related equipment.
• Complete vehicle maintenance tasks such as welding, painting, lubrication, brake repair, and tire work.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and shop areas in clean working condition and track repair material inventory.
• Use blueprints, drawings, and schematics to identify and resolve equipment and facility issues.
