Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, Division of Parks and Recreation, is seeking a Maintenance Person for Coleman State Park and the Great North Woods. This full-time role supports visitor services and park upkeep, lead staff in a designated area, and maintains equipment and records.

Responsibilities include overseeing repairs to buildings, trails, water systems, and grounds; performing basic trades work; and supervising unskilled maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent credential.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in trades (carpentry, maintenance) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees small projects to maintain and repair buildings, shelters, tables, fireplaces, roads, trails, bathrooms, and water systems.
• Carries out simple maintenance and repairs in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry disciplines.
• Operates, maintains and repairs construction and power equipment; keeps maintenance records.
• Performs interior and exterior upkeep to maintain park conditions and assists trades personnel.
