Job summary

The State of New Hampshire is seeking a Maintenance Person for Coleman State Park and Great North Woods. The role supports visitor services and maintains park facilities, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for hikers, skiers, and visitors across multiple sites.

Based at 172 Pembroke Road, Concord, or Stewartstown, the position requires hands-on maintenance, records upkeep, and collaboration with trades personnel to keep state park properties in top condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees small projects to maintain and repair park facilities and grounds.
• Performs interior and exterior upkeep including basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
• Operates, maintains and repairs construction and power equipment and tools.
• Conducts preventative maintenance to facilities to ensure safety and longevity.
• Assists supervision of maintenance staff and coordinates tasks and training.
