Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, seeks a Park Maintenance Supervisor 1 to manage the Colonel Denning State Park Complex. This role blends hands-on work with supervisory duties, coordinating preventative projects, tracking supplies, and reporting park system issues to the Park Manager.

Qualifications

• Four years of semi-skilled maintenance or construction experience in two of the following: electrical trades, plumbing trades carpentry trades, mechanical trades, water or wastewater treatment plant operations, or the operation of small and medium size construction or agricultural equipment; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Active motor vehicle license required.
• PA residency requirement and ability to perform essential job functions.

As a Park Maintenance Supervisor 1 with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, you will help manage the daily care of the Colonel Denning State Park Complex. This role allows you to use hands‑on skills while directing a team that maintains buildings, equipment and outdoor spaces. This position oversees the maintenance crew and guides the care of facilities, equipment, and grounds throughout the Colonel Denning State Park Complex. It supports daily operations that help visitors have a safe and positive experience. As a Park Maintenance Supervisor 1, you will perform the following duties:

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment
• The work schedule varies according to operational needs and consists of 37.5 hours per week over five days, including holidays and weekends.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Four years of semi-skilled maintenance or construction experience in two of the following: electrical trades, plumbing trades carpentry trades, mechanical trades, water or wastewater treatment plant operations, or the operation of small and medium size construction or agricultural equipment; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements

• This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
