Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources seeks a Park Maintenance Supervisor 1 to lead the maintenance crew at the Colonel Denning State Park Complex. You will supervise facilities, equipment and grounds, ensuring safe and welcoming spaces for families and visitors.

This hands-on leadership role requires coordinating safety programs, planning seasonal projects, managing supplies, and maintaining park systems, with regular reporting to the Park Manager.

Qualifications

• Four years of semi-skilled maintenance or construction experience in two of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, water/wastewater, or operation of related equipment.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Active motor vehicle license required.
• PA residency requirement per state policy.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance Crew: Supervise staff and direct construction, repair, and upkeep of park facilities.
• Support Safety Programs: Review procedures, hold safety meetings, promote safe work practices.
• Coordinate Preventative Work: Plan seasonal projects and oversee routine maintenance for buildings, roads and trails.
• Manage Supplies Inventory: Track tools, equipment and materials and replenish as needed.
• Maintain Park Systems: Assist with upkeep of water and wastewater systems and report issues.
• Oversee Equipment Care: Operate, repair and monitor vehicles and equipment to meet standards.
