Job summary

Idlewild and SoakZone is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support hands-on daily inspections and general maintenance of park rides, buildings, and equipment. You will assist with repairs, installations, and upkeep across amusement attractions with supervision from senior staff.

The role requires basic technical skills, a willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a valid driver's license. Prior maintenance or carpentry background is a plus in a dynamic theme park environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; trade school certification is a plus.
• 1+ years in maintenance, carpentry, or related role is common but not required.
• Ability to read ride maintenance manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily park maintenance and inspections across rides, buildings, and equipment.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance to park properties and infrastructure.
• Safely operate heavy equipment and use hand/power tools as directed by leadership.
• Help with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks as needed across the park.
