Job summary

Idlewild and SoakZone is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to help with daily inspections, ride and building maintenance, and related tasks across the park. Under supervision, you will assist with repairs, installations, and routine upkeep of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and ride systems.

You will handle materials safely, operate equipment, and support water quality tasks and landscaping as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant trade training is a plus.
• Ability to read ride maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance services across the park, including rides and facilities.
• Perform basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs as needed.
• Safely operate heavy equipment and manage tools, PPE, and safety procedures.
• Inspect pools, aquatics areas, and ride systems; support preventive maintenance.
• Maintain clean, organized storage and work spaces; support park leadership.
