Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Laurel Hill State Park Complex is seeking a Maintenance Repairman 2 to keep park facilities in solid working order, applying carpentry, electrical, masonry, and equipment repair skills to support visitor safety and comfort.

This role performs building repairs, utility work, equipment operation, and automotive service across multiple parks, with a 37.5-hour schedule, five days a week, and no telework option.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years in building/plant maintenance with at least two of building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or equivalent mix.
• Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License required.
• PA residency waiver noted for this title.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Criminal history records check required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Building Repair: repair park buildings, install windows/doors, carpentry, maintain historic structures
• Utility Work: electrical and plumbing tasks in park facilities
• Equipment Operation: operate backhoes, skid steers, dump trucks, snowplows
• Automotive Service: vehicle maintenance including welding, painting, lubrication, brake repair
• Tool Management: maintain tools and inventory of repair materials
• Technical Troubleshooting: read blueprints and schematics to fix issues
