Job summary

City of Davis is seeking an advanced journey-level Parks Maintenance Lead to supervise a field crew in maintaining City parks, playgrounds, and public facilities. • Equivalent to 12th grade with environmental horticulture training.
• Three years of journey-level parks/landscape maintenance experience.
• Valid California Driver’s License required.
• Pesticide Applicator and NRPA Playground Inspector certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional supervision to assigned staff.
• Plan, schedule, and assign maintenance work.
• Operate park maintenance equipment and assist contractors.
• Maintain logs, reports, and safety compliance.
• Respond to public requests and safety incidents.
