Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Park Worker I – Housekeeping at General Butler State Resort Park in Carrollton, KY. This full-time position maintains cabins, lodge rooms, offices, and common areas, including linen handling and event space setup.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and guest care, with physical tasks like lifting and outdoor work. A valid driver’s license may be required and overtime/alternate schedules may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, custodial, or similar roles preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in varying conditions.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work overtime or alternate schedules as needed.
• Reliable, team oriented, and able to follow safety and departmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and general cleaning of cabins, lodge rooms, cottages, meeting rooms, bathhouses, offices, and common areas (floor care, bed making, bathroom sanitation, furniture polishing, deep cleaning).
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, inspect, and inventory linens; maintain housekeeping carts, closets, and supply storage.
• Set up and break down meeting and event spaces to specifications (linen, furniture, signage, AV checks, supplies).
• Empty and clean trash/recycling; assist with minor repairs and report maintenance issues; support Facility Maintenance work orders.
• Respond to guest requests and coordinate with front desk and other departments.
• Follow park safety and environmental protocols for chemical use and storage; ensure facilities meet fire and accessibility standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
