Job summary

Pipestem Resort State Park is seeking a Grounds Maintenance worker to oversee the care and appearance of the park grounds. Under supervision, you will perform mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, snow removal and pest control to keep the grounds welcoming for visitors.

Responsibilities include minor repairs, painting handrails, parking lot striping, and operating lawn care equipment. A valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Training: Must be able to pass a written test at the eighth grade level.
• Experience: Six months of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in groundskeeping work.
• Special Requirement: Possession of a valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Care, appearance, and maintenance of the grounds at Pipestem Resort State Park.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks: mowing, trimming, planting grass/flowers/shrubs, weeding, snow removal, pest control.
• Minor repairs to outdoor furniture, painting handrails, and parking lot striping.
• Operate mowers, yard tools, saws, blowers, weed eaters, tractors and heavy equipment after training.
