Job summary

Pipestem Resort State Park under the Parks and Recreation department is seeking a Grounds Maintenance worker to care for the park's grounds, including mowing lawns, trimming trees, planting flowers and shrubs, weeding, and maintaining overall appearance.

Duties include minor repairs to outdoor furniture, painting handrails, and parking lot striping, plus operating yard tools, saws, blowers, and tractors after proper training. A valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• Six months of full-time or equivalent part-time paid groundskeeping experience.
• Must be able to pass a written test at the eighth grade level.

Responsibilities

• Maintains care and appearance of Pipestem Resort State Park grounds, including mowing, trimming, planting, and weeding.
• Performs minor repairs to outdoor furniture, paints handrails, and stripes parking lots.
• Operates mowers, yard tools, saws, blowers, tractors and heavy equipment after training; regular attendance required.
