Job summary

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board seeks qualified candidates to join its maintenance team at Jordan Valley Park. The role requires experience caring for commercial grounds, with a Tue-Sat 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. schedule and flexibility for events.

Ideal applicants have arboriculture, horticulture, or forestry background; CDL with endorsements; ISA Arborist; and Missouri Public Operator license. Benefits include paid leave, retirement, health insurance, and more.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience in arboriculture, horticulture, forestry, or a related field.
• Completion of 23 hours of horticulture, forestry or related coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two years experience.
• Irrigation experience is preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker and air brake endorsements, depending on assignment, within the probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial grounds at Jordan Valley Park and other facilities.
• Perform ongoing grounds maintenance tasks and seasonal duties.
• Accommodate special events at park facilities as needed.
