Job summary

The Town of Davie is seeking a part-time Grounds Maintenance Worker to support the Sports Division and parks operations. The role involves landscaping, equipment operation, and routine maintenance tasks across Town parks and facilities.

Schedule includes weekends and early mornings (07:00 AM–03:30 PM) with up to 20 hours per week, reporting to the Recreation Coordinator. High school diploma or GED and a Florida Class E license are required; CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Class E Florida driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Driver's license must not have been suspended within five years of the date of this application (not insurance related).
• Preferred: Class A or B CDL issued by the State of Florida.

Responsibilities

• Assist landscaping chores: mowing, planting, fertilizing and sowing grass seed.
• Help clear land for new construction using hand and power tools.
• Operate small or large trucks, tractors, mowers and other equipment.
• Clean and repair mowers and grounds maintenance tools and motors.
• Transport furniture and equipment as needed.
• Assist in maintaining park structures such as picnic shelters.
• Assist in painting and staining park buildings and equipment.
• Assist in mowing and lining ball fields and general park upkeep.
• Perform general park and grounds maintenance activities.
