Job summary

The Village of Pinecrest is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to perform a broad range of public grounds maintenance tasks. You will mow, edge, prune trees, operate light equipment, and assist with repairs to ensure safe, well-kept parks and facilities for residents.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience, plus licensure and safety certifications as described.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED and two years of grounds-keeping/maintenance experience.
• Specialized training in painting or maintenance is highly desired.
• Must be fluent in English; Spanish desired.

Responsibilities

• Mows, edges, rakes, and maintains greens, parks, roadway greenery and open spaces.
• Prunes and maintains village trees, removing dead or damaged limbs.
• Operates and maintains tree-trimming equipment and stump grinders.
• Performs traffic control to ensure safety in work zones.
• Repairs potholes, sidewalks, and installs signs as needed.
• Maintains and repairs equipment and facilities as part of routine upkeep.
