Job summary

Village of Pinecrest is seeking a versatile park operations assistant to maintain park facilities, assist with events, and support performances. You will handle maintenance, basic repairs, and customer service to the public.

Qualifications

• Specialized training and experience as a camp counselor, aquatic facility operator or food handling certification is highly desired.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to establish good customer relations.
• Must be knowledgeable of the materials, methods and equipment typically used in recreational work and clean up duties.
• Must have knowledge of basic rules of safety and ability to enforce applicable rules and regulations.
• Must have the physical strength and agility to perform assigned tasks, including bending, twisting, walking, climbing, reaching, lifting and carrying.
• Must maintain high ethical standards and be able to communicate in English; Spanish a plus.
• Applicants must complete all requirements established by the Village of Pinecrest for employment and may undergo background checks and medical screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned park facility by performing general maintenance and clean up duties (trash, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, etc.).
• Performs minor repair, cleaning and semi-skilled tasks for buildings and grounds.
• Provides courteous customer service in person and by phone regarding programs, events, rentals and memberships.
• Monitors park facilities and assists in safety inspections; reports hazards to supervisor.
• Operates concession and cashier duties, including cash and card transactions and admissions tickets.
• Assists with coordinating recreational activities and setting up rooms for events and party rentals.
• Provides production support during performances and helps assemble theater scenery.
• Enforces safety and department rules and performs other related duties as assigned.
