Job summary

Pechanga Tribal Government is seeking a Landscaper to maintain grounds around the park and tribal buildings, including trimming trees and planting. You will follow safety procedures and work under general supervision with guidance as needed.

Responsibilities include lawn care, plantings, equipment maintenance, irrigation work, and adherence to all safety and internal policies. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Clean DMV.
• Minimum 2 years’ landscaping experience required.
• Experience using hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge trimmers, axes).
• Experience with powered landscape equipment (pruning saw, blowers, hedger, weed whips, edger).
• Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Drug-Free Workplace policy and pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscaping in designated areas and assist where required.
• Plant, mow, water, fertilize, and maintain lawns, trees, and plants around government center and public access areas.
• Operate hand and power tools for lawn maintenance and edging.
• Plant and maintain beds, shrubs, and trees.
• Lift/move heavy materials for sod, topsoil, and supplies.
• Apply fertilizers and chemicals as directed.
• Maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, and burial sites; remove litter.
• Perform minor repairs to landscape equipment and tools.
• Operate irrigation controls and perform irrigation repairs as needed.
• Adhere to safety rules and Pechanga Tribal Government policies.
