Job summary

Pechanga Resort Casino is seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance team member in Temecula, CA. The role involves maintaining lawns, gardens and related outdoor spaces, operating a range of tools and irrigation systems to keep grounds in top condition.

Responsibilities include planting, mulching, edging, and seasonal upkeep, with attention to safety and asset protection within a busy casino environment. Physical work and flexible scheduling are required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required; 2 years’ experience preferred.
Must be able to operate irrigation controllers and power tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Operates powered equipment such as pruning saw, blowers, hedger, weed whips, and edgers.
Waters lawns, trees, and plants using portable sprinkler systems or watering cans.
Cares for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, and removing thatch, and edging beds.
Plants seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and applies mulch.
Decorates gardens with stones and plants.
Hauls or spreads topsoil, and spreads straw over seeded soil.
Cultivates lawns and gardens.
Rakes, mulch, and compost leaves.
Provides upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, and other grounds features.
Operates irrigation controls.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced casino environment.
