Job summary

Central Park Conservancy is seeking a Facility Maintainer to perform custodial maintenance across Central Park facilities under the supervision of the Foreperson of Park Maintenance. The role requires in-person work and includes cleaning, floor care, equipment operation, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include performing routine cleaning, reporting maintenance needs, and assisting with snow removal, all while providing courteous service to park visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrated work experience.
• Valid Drivers’ License that must be maintained for duration of employment

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial maintenance including cleaning, disinfecting, graffiti removal and replenishment of supplies across visitor centers, restrooms and common areas.
• Maintain floors and operate cleaning equipment and tools.
• Assist in snow removal and ice mitigation on park paths and facility entrances.
• Ensure facilities are secure and report maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Engage courteously with the public and support events as needed.
