Job summary

The Central Park Conservancy seeks an Assistant Manager to oversee the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of public bathrooms, visitor centers, and staff areas.

Reporting to the Manager, you will lead staff trainings, manage work schedules, inspect facilities, and coordinate with park departments to support events and operations. This on-site role requires strong leadership and safety discipline.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in maintenance or custodial management with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience leading staff, trainings and performance reviews.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and supervise staff; lead trainings in customer service, safety, and cleaning standards.
• Schedule staff workloads and vehicle use to meet daily/weekly targets for cleaning and maintenance.
• Oversee waste management and proper disposal, and coordinate with facilities teams on repairs.
