Job summary

Jurupa Area Recreation & Park District is seeking a part-time Park and Facilities Maintenance Worker II in Riverside, CA. The role performs skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain and repair park facilities, buildings, fields, playgrounds, and natural areas.

You’ll work independently and with teams to ensure safety, functionality, and aesthetics of park amenities. The position requires experience in grounds and facilities maintenance, ability to operate vehicles and tools, and the flexibility

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of maintenance experience.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings (Live Scan, drug screen).
• Valid California driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on park facilities and structures, including welding, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Repair and maintain playground equipment, benches, tables, and other park amenities.
• Address minor plumbing and electrical issues and maintain irrigation systems.
• Conduct safety inspections of park facilities and identify hazards.
• Trim hedges, edges, prune trees, and manage flower beds; remove weeds and debris.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, kitchens, offices, and meeting rooms; manage waste.
• Operate vehicles for transporting materials and equipment; use irrigation and construction tools.
• Respond to patron inquiries about irrigation systems and resolve issues.
