Qualifications

Two years of grounds/building maintenance and repair experience, or as a Park Attendant with Riverside County Parks.
College level courses may substitute for up to one year of the required experience (30 semester/45 quarter units).
Knowledge of common tools, equipment and materials used in maintenance work; basic vehicle preventive maintenance techniques.

Responsibilities

Mow, rake, clean, fertilize and water park areas; maintain camp and picnic areas; clear and maintain trails; remove brush and debris.
Remove dead trees and branches; plant and maintain trees; remove trash from lake and shore areas.
Operate trucks and tractors for hauling trash, dirt, rocks, and for clearing and leveling park areas.
Perform minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry work; repair faucets, sprinkler heads, drains, wall switches, lights, benches and playground equipment; lay bricks/rocks for walls and fountains; maintain irrigation systems.
Maintain and repair vehicles.
