Job summary

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium seeks a Park Experience & Special Events Manager to lead park operations and special events, improving guest engagement and operational efficiency. This full-time role reports to the Vice President of Park Operations and oversees staff across admissions, rides, and event services, with emphasis on safety and exceptional guest experiences.

The role involves budget involvement, coordinating large-scale events like concerts and Zoo-to-Do, and collaborating with departments

Qualifications

• Experience supervising part-time and seasonal staff in a park or events setting.
• Strong guest service orientation and ability to improve guest experience.
• Knowledge of budgeting and operations planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee part-time park operations staff and events to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with VP of Park Operations on Special Events and daily operations.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for park operations and events.
• Create weekly schedules for interpreters and events staff, ensuring adequate coverage.
• Collaborate with IT to keep ticketing and data analytics up to date.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with zoo departments on facility and equipment needs.
