Job summary

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is seeking a Park Experience & Special Events Manager to lead park operations staff and oversee special events, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and analytics.

In this full‑time role you will help plan budgets, schedule part‑time staff, coordinate with IT on Odoo, and work with Catering, Communications and Development for after‑hours events. A 21+ driver’s license and drug‑free workplace are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Management or related field preferred.
• One to two years of supervisor experience in Park Operations or Special Events.
• Must be 21+ years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• The Toledo Zoo is drug‑free in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Oversee part-time and seasonal staff in Park Operations and Special Events.
• Develop and write standard operating procedures for park operations and events.
• Coordinate scheduling for exhibit interpreters, admissions, and events.
• Monitor budget development and implementation for Park Operations.
• Collaborate with Catering, Communications and Development for after‑hour events.
• Manage ticketing analytics and guest flow to maximize visitor experience.
