Job summary

Virginia State Parks seeks an Administrative and Office Specialist for Chippokes State Park to support park visitation and ensure efficient completion of essential customer service duties.

Open Until Filled, hourly rate $14.00. Duties include delivering high-quality customer service, clerical tasks, revenue reconciliation, and maintaining knowledge of park rules and facilities. Applicants must work weekends/holidays/evenings and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver high-quality customer service.
• Ability to operate computers, point-of-sale systems, and cash registers.
• Knowledgeable in general office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service and communicate effectively with guests.
• Perform clerical duties, including operation of computers, cash registers, copiers, and handheld radios.
• Responsible for reconciling daily revenue and ensuring accuracy of cash register reports.
• Maintain working knowledge of park rules, trails, campground, and facility operations.
• Carry out daily cleaning and upkeep of the contact station, office area, and restrooms.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must maintain reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
