Job summary

Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Johns Island seeks a Parish Business Manager to oversee parish operations, accounting, and compliance in support of the church’s mission. The role partners with pastoral and finance councils to ensure sound financial management and risk control.

Responsibilities include budgeting, payroll oversight, vendor contracts, and capital project support, with a strong emphasis on data integrity and diocesan guidelines.

Qualifications

• Extensive business management, financial process management and financial system experience; CPA preferred.
• Nonprofit or church administration experience considered relevant for the role.
• A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field is common, with several years of nonprofit administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end parish business operations including budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll and vendor contracts.
• Support monthly balance sheet, income/expense reporting and budget reviews for parish leadership.
• Coordinate capital campaigns and major expenditures with diocesan resources and parish councils.
